Escape Room Reviews!

Sure, it sounds like a no-brainer that online reviews make the world go 'round, but seriously... THEY MAKE THE WORLD GO 'ROUND.

Plus, Google rules the world if you didn't know.

Like, we thought we knew that reviews mattered a lot, but we really had no idea. FLASHBACK ALERT: Remember that TV show True Life? Cue intro: "You think you know, but you have no idea. This is the diary of...." Maybe our tagline for this blog should be, "You think you know, but you have no idea. This is the diary of an escape room owner." Seems like a copyright issue actually. Anywho, we digress...

Our Philosophy First and Foremost: People Matter. Like. A LOT.

First thing's first: Hopefully by reading our website or visiting ole Sprightly you get the vibe that we put people first. While we reallllllly love everything about designing and facilitating meaningful experiences through escape rooms (#escaperoomenthusiasts), we love, love, love the "people" aspect of the work - sharing stories, getting to know folks, learning why people love escape rooms... the list goes on and on. So, let us be clear that reviews aren't typically top of mind for us - Our people (a.k.a. our Sprightly Fam) and their experiences here at Sprightly are what we think about all day every day. Like, all day every day.

Here lately we've been extra appreciative of the support and love that our Sprightly Fam has shown us. Word of mouth is the most powerful form of marketing (Well we're no experts, but that's what we think anyways). And we reckon that online reviews on sites such as Yelp, TripAdvisor, Facebook and Google fall into this bucket.

Have You Heard? Online Escape Room Reviews Rule the World... Along with Google.

We just read a ridiculously crazy stat from Forbes (#shoutout) that "88% of consumers trust online reviews as much as a personal recommendation". Here's our source so we don't get in trouble.

88 PERCENT!

We've had so many folks tell us that the single biggest reason they came to Sprightly was our reviews. Period. Hands-down. For reals. It's cray... yet so awesome that there are websites dedicated to consumers/ costumers sharing the love (or immense dislike) for products and businesses out there.

Denver’s Best Escape Room?

This escape room industry is still so new here in the US that there doesn't seem to be an industry standard for what makes the "best escape room". In fact, we've played an embarrassingly high number of live action games (#addicted #nerds #butsoproudofit) and we still struggle to answer the question, "So, what is the BEST escape room?"

We've found that, sure, there are some AWESOME escape room games out there that we absolutely love, and others that are just less our flavor. However, each escape room business has their own vibe... their own thing that they do well.

Ummm what’s the connection to reviews? I don't get it...

Online review sites provide folks the opportunity to share love when they want to share love and to share tough feedback when it needs to be shared. As we said above, each and every escape room feels a tad different, so it's helpful to share your thoughts about the experiences you have - whether you escape or not, you sore losers out there (#justkidding #weloveyouevenifyoudontescape). What was great? What was unique to that location that you appreciated? You get the gist.

THE HEADLINE: You Are Awesome. And Your Thoughts Matter. And We Sure Do Appreciate When You Share Them!

So, friends, the moral of this long and likely un-entertaining story is that we appreciate you and your thoughts. Seriously. Like, for real. We do this work because, yes, we are obsessed with escape rooms #duh. But, we also do this work because we love people and facilitating meaningful (like, actually meaningful) experiences for folks.

So yeah, thank you again for your continued awesomeness.
